The Pauls Valley Farmers Market began as an initiative by the City of Pauls Valley. It was meant to become it’s own entity, so shortly after it’s creation, it was registered as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our first season kicked off in 2017 and we’ve been gaining traction ever since.
“You, as a food buyer, have the distinct privilege of proactively participating in shaping the world your children will inherit.”
— Joel Salatin, Farmer
We have a great team here at the Pauls Valley Farmers Market. Often times, the vendors here feel more like family. Our market is tiny, but oh so mighty. We don’t do competition, we believe that when a group of people collaborate, everyone wins far greater than if they had tried on their own.
The Pauls Valley Farmers Market has a three part mission.
To Increase Local Food Accessability
To Grow Farmers
To Educate Consumers About Their Food and Healthy Choices
Of Garvin County uses SNAP to pay for their groceries
of new farms fail within the first 5 years
of adults in Garvin County do not eat the recommended amounts of vegetables per day
We are a small market— smaller than most in the state— which is why we have added an online farmers market for our customers in Garvin County. With an online market, we are able to source products from the farmers that need the bigger income at the bigger markets, while still providing the freshest products that we can to our supportive customers.
